Superdry "极度干燥” Party @ Hin Bus Depot Art Centre
Applefish对时尚没什么概念,而这次有幸可以透过myFlashngo博客参加Superdry“极度干燥”的时装秀和派对。
2014年10月26日,炙手可热的英伦人气品牌Superdry“极度干燥”,于槟城的Gurney Plaza“合您广场”开设首间旗舰店。在大马,Superdry“极度干燥”已有三家旗舰店,而如今开设在槟城Gurney Plaza“合您广场”为第四家。
Superdry“极度干燥”创建于2003年,由于这品牌加入日本街头风格及日文,会常让许多人误以为是日本牌子,但其实它是纯英国制造的牌子,隶属于伦敦交易所上市公司SuperGroup集团。

Beep Beep Q @ Bangkok Lane, Penang
上星期去了一家新开的BBQ烧烤餐厅,店内有架显眼的Beetle车头,车牌为店名-Beep Beep Q。Beep Beep Q坐落于Pulau Tikus的Bangkok Lane,它位于LAVANA Beauty & Massage的隔壁和著名的设计师-Richard Rivalee店铺的对面。
Beep Beep Q的店内的装饰和设计都是店家一手包办。他们选用了汽车零件或配件为墙上的装饰,桌子的木板由店家亲手钉成,墙壁也是店家亲自粉刷而成的,几乎每一件事情都是由店家亲力亲为,包括厨房的准备功夫。

Sweet Tone-live band performance @ Farquhar’s Bar, Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel
I was enjoying myself in a live band performance
called Sweet Tone around 2 weeks ago in Farquhar’s Bar of the Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
They are new 3 piece band comprises of Mahazan Jalaluddin, Mohd Akhir bin Abdul Rashid and Haidee
Lim.
The performance is available from Thursdays
to Saturdays between 8pm to 11pm from now till 26 April 2014.
The
Eastern & Oriental Hotel is proud to present their new 3 piece band, Sweet
Tone. They will be performing at the Farquhar Bar. The new 3 piece band comprises of
Mahazan Jalaluddin, Mohd Akhir bin Abdul Rashid and Haidee Lim.
Mahazan Jalaluddin, a former member of the
Malaysian People Band famous in the 90’s is on backup vocals and plays both the
guitar and bass in Sweet Tone. He has also backed up several local and
international artistes like Siti Nurhaliza and Kris Dayanti.
Mohd Akhir, also on backup vocals, is the
keyboardist for Sweet Tone. He was also a former member of the Malaysian People
Band and has worked with local artistes like Rahim Maarof and Amy Mastura.
Haidee Lim from the Philippines is the lead
vocalist of the band. She is a professional performer based in Penang since the
year 1989 and has been entertaining guests in top hotels and private functions.
She is able to sing a wide array of musical genres.
The band’s repertoire includes jazz and old
favourites from the 60’s to the 80’s.

Farquhar’s
Bar offers a lot of drinks include house wine, cocktail, mocktail, vodka,
blended whisky, tequila and many more.
I do
not really prefer alcohol drinks, therefore I’ve chosen a glass of
Oriental Moon Light (RM19++), which contains mango juice, guava juice, lemon
juice and ginger ale. The taste of drink is more to sour as having mango and
lemon inside the drink.
My
friends had E&O Sling (RM29++) cocktail which
made of Bombay Gin, Grand Marnier (orange-flavoured cognac liqueur), Creme de
menthe (sweet, mint-flavoured alcoholic beverage) and Sprite and another is Grand
Oriental mocktail
(Monin Peach, Cranberry Juice, Orange
Juice and Sprite) at RM19++.
In conjunction with
the debut of Sweet Tone, Farquhar Bar is offering a special promotion on
selected drinks. Guests can enjoy selected beverages ranging from house pouring
brands, house wine, draught beers, cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks and juices
for just RM12++ per glass.
Besides
that, Farquhar’s Bar also has some snack for you to enjoy while listening to
their performance.
We've ordered Calamari Rings and Truffle Parmesan
Fries. Believe me that you will really lick your fingers clean as it is
really delicious.
Another
finger food that we tried was Chicken
Bratwurst with Onion Gravy and Tempura
Prawn.
We chose avocado and mayonnaise sauces as our sauce, but both
sauces are not preferable. We still feel their Thai chili sauce with Tempura
Prawn is the best combination. The Tempura Prawn is quite crispy and fresh and the
Chicken Bratwurst with Onion Gravy is really best enough without any sauce added.

If you’re
planning to have your dinner here, you may order their ala carte meal. One of
our friends had her Fish and Chips (RM35++) came with grilled lemon, toasted
petit salad and remoulade sauce. Surprisingly, the portion is quite huge compared
with our Asian meal portion, personally feel that this is more suitable to
foreigners or big eaters.
And
the last meal we ordered was Garlic Marinated Rack of Lamb (RM45++) with herb
roasted potato, wild mushroom and shallot sauce. The texture of lamb is quite tender and all of us liked the
wild mushroom so much.

Chong Tian 1881 Annual Dinner @ Jalan Pintal Tali, Georgetown
1881中天楼位于大顺街 (Jalan Pintal Tali) 门牌38、40及42号的古迹建筑物。130年历史的老建筑,拥有着19世纪的风格。
十二月,一年的最后一个月,许多公司都举办Annual Dinner,如果你还想不到要在哪里举办,不如看看中天酒店的晚餐配套,他们推出三个配套,分别有RM598++,RM788++和RM1198++。
当晚我们的配套是RM598++,你们不妨参考我们的菜色:
中天冷热荤 Chong Tian Four Combination
鱼肉丸蛮弹牙,熏肉
(bacon)卷很香嫩,而咸蛋卷的表皮酥脆。鲍笋炒澳洲坚果(macadamia nut) 口感脆爽。
干贝蟹肉群翅 Braised Shark’s Fin with Crabmeat and Dried Scallop
干贝蟹肉群翅的蟹肉蛮大块的,加上醋的确比较好吃,可是希望店家可以用粉丝来代替鱼翅。
川弓醉香鸡Fried Chicken with Chinese Wine
醉香鸡用酒腌制再下锅炒香,酒香味很浓,肉质香甜,口味很像盐炬鸡。
椒茸蒸石斑 Steamed
Grouper Fish with Chili and Garlic
带点酸辣味的蒸石斑,肉质嫩滑,毫无鱼腥味。
印尼黄姜虾 Pan Fried Prawns with Indonesia Style
黄姜虾有着淡淡的黄姜味,虾子满新鲜的,虾肉蛮甜。
龙凤扣时蔬 Dragon Phoenix Green Garden
每次吃一桌式的聚餐,我都特爱蔬菜和蘑菇的那道。
乡下佬炒饭Fried Rice with Village Style
第一次看到炒饭放了豆芽,我想不喜欢吃豆芽的朋友一定挑起来。有幸当晚的豆芽炒熟的(因为本人不能接受生豆芽味),不然就大打折扣,炒饭内还有叉烧块和虾子。
龙珠鲜果冰Chilled Dragon Mixed Fruits
这甜品没什么火龙果味,我想是因为mixed fruits的原因,但味道还不赖,蛮特别的一道甜品。

来不及的幸福
那晚我好不容易的入睡了,梦到梦中的我在驾着车,刚要转角的时候,一个物体就这样在我的挡风镜出现,然后我就在那一秒认出那是我的男朋友,接着他就是那么的突然“扑”一声的死在我的面前。很混乱的场面,根本没有很好的脚本来安排主角几时出场,然后什么姿态的出现在我眼前。
我只晓得,大脑分析让我知道,眼前这位是我的男朋友,他就在我的眼前像是被我撞死了。当下,我愣了,随着,就是惊醒了。
睁 开双眼,眼前是黑暗的,看到一线的光芒,那是我宿舍门封的光线。在黑暗中抓了身旁的手机,时间显示凌晨两点十二分,我急忙的致电给我的男朋友。一向睡到跟 猪没差的他意外地接听了我的电话,电话一接通,我的眼泪是即刻夺眶而出的,说话含糊不清,我只知道他听得懂我说什么,不停的安慰我,但那刻的我一听到他那 温柔的声音我的泪水不断的涌出眼眶。幸亏,那时候的室友是属于那种一睡到天明的类型。
前阵子收到朋友的恶讯,原来朋友的男朋友去世了。后来才知道因为身体亮红灯。 男孩在生命中本该灿烂的时刻却要准备迎接死神的来临,更何况,她还来不及见他最后一眼。当我接到电话去到朋友的家安慰她时,我在楼下等着的当儿在想,我能以什么身份安慰她呢?
我知道那刻的她想听到些声音或故事,让自己不要那么的心碎。我告诉了她我那个梦。故事的重点是希望她在每一个早上醒来的时候坚强的接受这个事实,勇敢地面对着每一个新的一天,因为她不像梦中的我,醒来还可以听到那把熟悉的声音来抚平自己。
她 努力的擦拭眼泪,说着她有很多话还没跟他说。她甚至想逃避事实不去见他最后一眼。我告诉她,不要让自己后悔,趁着这个丧礼,去见一见他,把心中的话都说出 来,为他做出最后的安排,至少再也没有太多的遗憾。我觉得某种意义上,死亡其实是一种永恒。那女孩以后或许会找到她的另一半,或许那男孩会一直住在她心 里,只是若干年后的她或许已换了另一种方式去惦记他,这是另一阶层的爱情。我们没法预测以后的日子。
幸福有很多种,却有一种叫做来不及的幸福,让人想起就会心疼。有些人活在现在,记忆却停留在昨天;有些人敢爱敢恨的,希望活在当下不蹉跎岁月。人生有太多的来不及了,我们总以为时间还早。他来不及道别、她来不及说爱他、他来不及实现对她的承诺、她来不及拥抱他……有些时候生命已经到了无法转角的地步了,那倒不如,我们自己转个角用新的心态来迎接另一边的景色。
我们活着,爱过也痛过,我们唯一能做的,就是如何handle那还未遗失的幸福。
