The Opening of the Second CSL 3S Care Center & Northern Hub @ Megamall Penang

Party Launching of YourFoodReview.com & Application

Two weeks ago was Qyzzy's party launching at Weissbrau German Bistro & Bar, Straits Quay. When I was there (in time), it was to early for the event launching as they was still setting up for the launching. I was told to have a walk around SQ. 
Then, I just noticed mid-autumn festival is around the corner soon, as SQ already changed their decoration to red tanglung.

 
 
Qyzzy Sdn Bhd was incorporated in February 2011, so Qyzzy.com is now rebranded with their new name from Qyzzy to YourFoodReview. I was fortunate to be invited to their event.

 
A lot of invitation cards are there.


 Signature board was prepared for guests, but I was missed out for leaving my signature.

 One of the gift to Qyzzy's co-founder and chief marketing officer-Mr Terry Tan.

Found out why Vin (founder cum CEO) was looking instant camera. He was using it for snapping photos of guests then give us as memories.
Together with me is Zoez and Cheryl, floggers as well :)

While waiting for the party launching, we did some chit-chat with other floggers there, we took a lot of photos too.
Even the event was late due to waiting for YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng for the launching ceremony, but it can be said is a great time to us (floggers) to gather and chat more (know each better).

Apple Apps is their partner to develop phone application for YourFoodReview.com. There was a booth there showing us how it works in sharing or food hunting.
 YB Danny Law was replacing YAB Lim for Qyzzy's launching, they also partnered with Weissbrau German Bistro & Bar, Alex Tan Photography, Hot Print, MidPoint Technology and Digi to make the launch party an unforgettable experience for them.

 A "thumb up" post after their signing ceremony is done.

After the ceremony, we shall take our brunch as most (every) of us rushed to here and haven't taken our breakfast yet.

But somehow the second batch of it, was not as delicious as the first batch we've taken, maybe the tomato sauce was lesser.

 Finally, Sardin Puff was mix together with other food as our brunch.
Overall of the food is delicious.

 Cold Tomato Soup
Was a bit unacceptable for it's taste at first, as all of us thought it is a hot tomato soup instead of serving it in cold.
I think it is tomotoes mix with vegetable then blended it out, so the taste was raw.
But if you're tomatoes lover, you might love it.

东城点心 Viva Dim Sum Delight @ Viva Food Court, Tanjung Bungah


东城点心 (Viva Dim Sum Delight)早在2010年的八月十日营业。
还以为Batu Ferringi这带不会找到点心,更何况是便宜、大块又好吃的。
这次终于有机会试吃了,首先得谢谢RoundU和Gourmet Garden。

位于Tanjung Tokong的东城饮食中心,虽说很多人都说它在于Penang Swimming Club的隔壁,但正确而言,它是位于Naza Hotel的隔壁。
你可以从Island Plaza直走到Penang Swimming Club过后,U-turn后直走直到你看到Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel在你的右手边,过不久就会看到Viva东城饮食中心的招牌了。

菜单,有的点心已经不再出现了。
Traditional Steamed Glutinous Rice (古法糯米雞-RM3.80) *推荐*
我最爱的点心就是糯米鸡,那天的试吃会,我告诉自己一定要品尝到它们的糯米鸡,果然没有令我失望!金黄的色泽, 鸡肉中包裹着糯糯的米香、叉烧块和腊肠, 经过秘制工艺精心酿制, 糯米鸡的香味很扑鼻!鸡肉鲜嫩而且蛮大块的,糯米柔润,入口酥, 有点美中不足的鸡肉没有去骨。店家更告知,他们的糯米鸡是采用越南的象牙糯米,吃起来会有一种barley薏米的香味,但我倒是没有感觉到那薏米粒的香味啦。若你和我一样比较偏爱湿的糯米鸡,就很适合你了。

香脆可口的外皮,配新鮮的蝦肉馅,爽口又惹味,分别有芒果、柠檬和泰式酱汁供你沾

豆沙包
没什么特别,和平常的豆沙包一样。
Steamed Bun with Premium Lotus Paste and Egg Yolk (蛋皇蓮蓉包-RM3.80)
被小小蓮蓉包着的蛋皇蓮蓉包,內裡有一個咸蛋皇,由于之前有的顾客觉得整粒蛋皇会比较不健康或不合口味,店家应食客的意见而以“健康”又好吃的概念
改良了他们的蛋皇蓮蓉包。这样食客也会吃得开心又吃得健康些。

刚开始吃这包子的时候,在剥皮的当儿,总觉得怎么这包子那么的硬呢?虽然才出炉不久,后来问了店家才知道那些我们平时在外吃的包子,软软的,手感和口感都较好的都是有放一种叫松化剂 (softener)的化学剂在面粉,就这样,我又学到一样新的知识了。

都没机会尝试这里的叉烧包呢,只是我问了师傅怎么其他的包子不像叉烧包一样会爆开的呢?师傅回答,这是港式点心做法,而且重点是用香港面粉而不是本地面粉,因为只有香港面粉,叉烧包才能蒸到爆开。
你们是不是又学到新知识了呢?呵呵。


Shanghainese Meat Dumpling (小笼包-RM4.80) *推荐*
小笼包是一种起源于中国上海南翔的著名点心, 小笼包的体积比一般的包子小很多,一口咬下去的时候那热腾腾的高汤“噗”着,喷在嘴里的感觉,简直就是一流,我想这铁定是招牌点心之一!重点是,一笼的小笼包只需RM4.50,难以置信呢!原本以为只有这小笼包会很干涩的,但真的是我小看了它,不过我认为店家的小笼包还有进步空间,把它push到更好吃的境界。

记得哦,醋和姜丝是吃小笼包的必配品!

三种口味的肠粉味道不分上下,但个人还是觉得凤凰和鲜虾不错!

炒河粉 *推荐*
我对炒河粉很挑剔,所以很少吃炒河粉,因为够锅气的炒河粉很难找呢,但那天吃了这盘炒河粉,它即刻成为我最爱炒河粉的list里了,最重要不需要加什么酱油和辣椒来调味,那天的我们吃得都是原汁原味,很棒的说!

这金薯酥,我还真的第一次品尝这道美食,好吃!

Shanghainese “Mistress” Bun (上海二奶包-RM4.80)就是在奶馅包子的外面涂上奶油,闪亮亮的,加上外形像女生的胸部,“二”奶包的名称就是这么的诞生吧。当拨开二奶包时,看着那白奶油就有罪恶感了,呵呵。*推荐*

Steamed Bun with Butter Cream & Egg Yolk (特制流沙包-RM4.80) *推荐*
流沙包是用咸蛋黄以及牛油、砂糖等制成奶黄馅料,呈液态
自从之前去吉隆坡的时候吃过了流沙包之后,就对这流沙包恋恋不忘。还想不到这里也有这种流沙包,而且是外面一般的流沙包稍微大粒些。
让我传授我自己的吃法吧。
你最好不可以贪心的咬一大口哦!吃流沙包就是要45度的咬一小口,然后像和它谈一场恋爱这样,来个法国式的舌吻,慢慢的吮出那“流沙”,大概吮到80%就可以咬那一半的包,然后第二口就可以把还剩的流沙和包一并的送进口里。
大功告成!又不会把手弄肮脏又可以训练你的亲吻技巧,一举两得:P
店家还透露,点心要即点即做即吃,这样食客才会尝到点心的鮮美,所以食客前来点点心的话,都必须等5-10分钟左右,为了吃到新鲜出炉的点心,多等一会儿也是值得的吧。店家还与我们分享他们也不断的精益求益,为的是希望为食客在味蕾上帶來不一樣的新口味和更贴心的研究更多更健康的点心种类给食客。
